Headwaters Land Conservancy.  You’ve heard about the many land Conservancies in northern Michigan, this is OUR land trust conservancy.  And they offer classes and activities for a wide range of ages. Explore their capabilities here:  https://headwatersconservancy.org/

Otsego Conservation District. Lots of resources here, from what to plant, where to plant, how to keep our waters clean, invasive species and for the kids, lots of educational programs. There’s a lot here:  http://www.otsegocd.org/

Sturgeon For Tomorrow – Black Lake Chapter.  All things sturgeon, and a very active organization. Find out here:  https://www.sturgeonfortomorrow.org/

Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council. Though a large portion of their coverage is west of HTU’s footprint, they do watch over the Cheboygan watershed and indeed, need to monitor our macroinvertebrate surveys for the presence of an endangered species – the Hungerford Crawling Water Beetle.
